WHAT IS SOL-SILICATE TECHNOLOGY?
In order to better understand this technology and its advantages, here are some details about the formulation:
Pure silicate paint is currently rarely used because it is not very easy to apply. By adding an acrylic dispersion, in regulated quantities, we obtain a stable ‘organo-silicate’, with the advantage of being contained in a single can, rather than two as before.
But these two qualities can only be applied to mineral bases.
A new generation and small technological revolution, the so-called ‘Sol-Silicate’, a mixture of three binders, two from the same family, potassium silicate with a silica sol, a dispersion of nanometric silica particles, and an acrylic-based binder, making it possible to paint over old, organic, flexible and permeable painted surfaces.
