Why choose siloxane paint?

Paints with siloxane or siloxane additives offer many advantages. 

Siloxane gives the paint a matt mineral appearance, giving an elegant finish that masks any slight defects in the substrate.

These paints have maximum water vapour permeability and good natural resistance to mould. They are therefore ideal for slightly damp rooms. For facades, this permeability allows the substrate to breathe and reduces the risk of blistering.

Although permeable to water vapour, siloxane paints are highly water-repellent, meaning that water cannot penetrate the substrate through the paint film. The substrate is protected from moisture attack. This water-repellent effect is particularly interesting outdoors, as dirt slides off the surface and does not become embedded.

Aquasil Mat
Siloxane-reinforced matte opacifier

Aquasil Mat is a mineral, water-based matt paint for all your interior wall and ceiling work. 

It can be applied without priming or priming on many types of surface* such as lime and cement render, concrete, synthetic render, old matt mineral or dispersion-based paints, and in particular on absorbent surfaces (plasterboard, plaster and levelling compound).

As an ecological paint for the home, Aquasil Mat :

• is highly opacifying (class 1 according to EN 13.300)
• is tension-free
• has maximum water vapour permeability and good natural mould resistance
• is economical (can be diluted up to 30% with water)
• does not yellow
• is odourless

Aquasil Velours
Siloxane-reinforced opacifying velvet

Aquasil Velours is a velvety, water-based paint for all your interior work on walls and ceilings. It can be applied directly to plasterboard or any other consistent surface.

Unlike traditional velvety wall paints, Aquasil Velours is formulated to be extremely opaque and remarkably white (does not yellow).

Aquasil Velours is :

• easy to apply
• its lack of tension
• odourless

Aquasil AF Mat
The paint that protects against mould proliferation

Aquasil AF Mat is a matt, water-based paint that is recommended for both new build and renovation projects, whenever the proliferation of micro-organisms (mould) is a concern*.

_{*Mouldy surfaces should first be treated with a curative anti-mould solution: F-Kill}

Aquasil AF Mat is reinforced with siloxane and contains an Algicide Fungicide (AF) to limit the appearance of mildew.

For interior use on walls and ceilings, it is :

• easy to apply
• odourless
• non-yellowing
• economical (can be diluted up to 30% with water)
• enriched with Algicide Fungicide to protect surfaces from micro-organisms 

This paint is also characterised by :

• excellent water vapour permeability (class 1 according to NF EN ISO 7783)
• excellent opacity (class 1 according to EN 13.300 for 120 mL/m²)
